The Workshop

Our lair, our set: a space of creativity, of argument, of experiment: the space where all problems suddenly become solutions. A secret cave where old materials rediscover their forgotten beauty, where bits and pieces become treasured objects, where projects move from paper to reality.

The team

Sixparsix employs two carpenters / joiners, Lilian and Nicolas, and a polytechnician and locksmith, Sébastien, all highly experienced in their fields. Together we share in the conception, creation and realization of our several projects. We can also call upon a network of local craftspeople - electricians, plumbers, masons - upon whom we call when our projects need them.

Stephen Maslin
Stephen is a professional carpenter/joiner of broad capability and recognised expertise. He loves large concepts, and believes that everything can and should be beautiful. He particularly likes "craft fusion": projects than combine a wide variety of materials, especially wood, natural stone and steel. His roots are in the design and construction of furniture and interior decoration. Stephen is also a voluntary firefighter, and as an Irishman he speaks fluent English.

Jonathan Danzon
Jonathan is our Canadian-trained interior architect, eclectic and inspired, with an eye for creations that excel in beauty and imagination. He has designed numerous home and office interiors, and has recently added a new speciality: the conception and construction of décor ensembles for Scénovision museums in France and Italy. Jo is also a practical workman, who welds, hammers and designs as part of the team.

Renovation

An interaction between our clients who desire a change, an improvement, and ourselves who will advise them on the best way to conceive, construct and realize it.

Furniture

Individual, strange, pratical, useful, modern, old, bespoke, resurrected, eclectic - any or all of the above: we love making furniture.

Scenography

Our speciality: staging, and durably, immersive décors conceived for public spaces. These ensembles, through a unique use of light, sound, and visual elements, give new life to a village, a neighbourhood, or a region. It's thrilling, it's creative… it's us!
